Yep, that's it. It's that simple. The weight problems you have been struggling with for years or decades really come down to a simple math problem.

The amount of calories you consume to the number of calories you use really is what all the fuse is about. You can package it as Paleo, Clean Eating, Keto, HIIT, Orange Theory, whatever you would like, but it's a calorie deficit when you strip away all the bull shit.

We can break food down into 3 macronutrients carbohydrates, protein, and fat. These 3 macronutrients provide us calories and calories are the energy provided to us by food. Any excess energy consumed is stored as fat. 3,500 calories is equal to about a pound of fat. So if you want to lose a pound of fat, you need a 3,500 calorie deficit.
